WOW! Didn’t realise she needed a police escort between classes. I am sure it must be to protect her from all the adoring Christian fanatics ;)
I think she sums it up correctly in the end, its about rights of the individual. Even though as an atheist I would like to see the complete destruction of religion, as all it does is breed hate.
She probably knew there would be pushback but the reaction in her community was extreme. Things like that have a very chilling effect on others who would want to speak out.
