Richard Dawkins (Politely) Gives an Hour of Time He'll Never Get Back to a Y.E.C.

I don't know how he does it, or why he's called "strident" or "militant." He's waaaaay more polite than I would be toward this idiot (note that in the comments there's a debate over whether you can call the interviewer an idiot).

ANYONE who says Dawkins is mean and strident has never talked to me on the same subject.
I would call them delusional as a minimum then go on to explain that I don't say stupid because you can't get that high so I settle on delusional which is the 'willful giving up of intelligence to maintain a fairytale'.
I praise Dawkins for doing the interview as it might tip someone into the bright side of thinking. But a 1-on-1 discussion is a waste of intellectual effort unless you are doing so for practice.

I have not had to answer such inanity in person, fortunately. I think steam would be coming out of my ears!

After watching a ton of formal debates I'm pretty much done with them. This format on the other hand seems a lot better, more conversational and more interesting.

The debate format is guaranteed to be boring and yield stupid results. If WLC participated in more conversations like this instead of hurling rapid-fire red herrings at an opponent during his debates, he would have far fewer fans.
